Abstract Yttrium-doped ZnO nanoparticles were synthesized by co-precipitation method to investigate structural. optical and antibacterial properties. X-ray diffraction analysis confirms hexagonal (wurtzite) structure with average crystallite size between 16 and 30 nm.
